Online Statewide Property Tax Information

        Invaluable resource for obtaining property tax information (which indirectly gives you the last sales price in many instances) on a given property.  It's searchable by property address or even by subdivision.  You'll see an "assessed value" for land and a separate one for improvements.  To "back into" the purchase price (or at least the Assessor's most recent estimate of the property's value), merely multiply each value by 10 if it's residential, or by 6.67 if it's commercial.  For example, if a residential property's assessed value is "Land, $3,300, Improvements, $22,500," then the last sale (or most recent estimate by the Assessor of the property's value) was (is)  $258,000 [($3,300 + $22,500) x 10].
